Anna Leigh Waters has won 194 PPA Tour titles. Ben Johns has 177. Nobody else has reached 60. Those are the two most striking numbers in professional pickleball, and they come from the tour’s own record — unlike the career totals on the PPA’s player pages, which contradict it.
The winningest pros
This is the PPA’s own leaderboard, counted from its complete tournament record. The scope matters and the tour states it plainly: titles are counted across all five pro divisions, and both players on a winning doubles team are credited.
| # | Player | PPA titles |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Anna Leigh Waters | 194 |
| 2 | Ben Johns | 177 |
| 3 | Catherine Parenteau | 54 |
| 4 | Anna Bright | 37 |
| 5 | Collin Johns | 35 |
| 6 | Simone Jardim | 32 |
| 7 | Gabriel Tardio | 27 |
| 8 | Federico Staksrud | 26 |
That is the entire published table — eight names, no ninth. The gap between second and third is the story: Waters and Johns sit 140 and 123 titles clear of Catherine Parenteau, who has had a long and successful career.
Counts are current through the May 2026 PPA Finals. As a sense check, The Dink reported in November 2025 that Waters had 168 golds to Johns’ 167 — so Waters has pulled 17 clear in roughly six months, steep but consistent with her contesting three divisions to his two.
The streak
Waters has not lost a singles match since 30 May 2024. As of 27 May 2026 that was 25 consecutive singles gold medals, 124 consecutive match wins, and 727 days. Her last singles defeat was to Salome Devidze in the semi-finals of the 2024 PPA CIBC Texas Open.
The figures above are as at 27 May 2026, when tour play paused. The 2026–27 season opened this week at the Veolia National Championships in Cary. We have not verified whether the streak survived and will not imply we have. If you are reading this after early September 2026, check the result before quoting the number.
What the archive will and will not tell you
The PPA publishes a genuinely good historical record at ppatour.com/about/history — 115 tournaments back to the Mesa Grand Slam in February 2020, with champion, runner-up and third place. It is the best free historical resource in the sport.
But it is a one-division resource dressed as a five-division one. Only men’s doubles is actually served to anyone reading the page programmatically; the switcher for men’s singles, women’s singles, women’s doubles and mixed runs in the browser with no addressable URL. You can read those four by clicking. You cannot cite them at scale, and neither can we — which is why this page carries no five-division records table.
Why we are not quoting the PPA’s player pages
Every PPA athlete page carries a “By the Numbers” table of career titles by division. Those numbers do not survive a check against the PPA’s own results archive.
Riley Newman’s page credits him with 7 career men’s doubles titles. The history table on the same website lists him winning men’s doubles at least twelve times in 2020–2022 alone — The Showcase, two Atlanta Opens, the Las Vegas Open, Riverland, North Carolina, Orange County, the Tournament of Champions, the PPA Championships, the Texas Round Up and the Takeya Showcase — before counting anything from 2023 on.
Nor is it a consistent offset. Anna Bright’s athlete page shows 39, above the leaderboard’s 37. Parenteau’s shows 36, well below the leaderboard’s 54. Waters and Johns show 143 and 120, below their own November 2025 press figures. The two systems are computed differently and at least one is wrong.
So we publish the leaderboard and the streak, and leave the per-player splits alone until the tour reconciles them. A number you can already see is broken is not worth republishing.
A few figures worth knowing
From PickleWave’s analysis of tour history, current through the Orange County Cup of 22 June 2025 — a secondary source, and a dated one:
- Waters had won 52 of the 88 women’s singles golds ever awarded on the PPA, with only 13 career singles losses, four of them at age 14.
- She also held 50 women’s doubles golds, Parenteau second.
- Men’s singles had produced only 15 gold medallists in tour history, nine of them multiple winners, with Ben Johns holding close to half of every gold awarded and Staksrud second.
- Irina Tereschenko won the first women’s singles title in PPA history.
